Mark Morrall, Executive Principal, paid tribute to the students saying that the group who 'graduated' that summer achieved some of the best outcomes in terms of progress and attainment in the history of the school. This placed Chingford Foundation School as one of the highest placed mixed secondary schools in Waltham Forest. These were considerable achievements particularly when it was considered that prior attainment of this Year 11 cohort was at the 'national average' yet their GCSE results were 15% above the national average. Another achievement of this year group was their rate of progress against their peers of a similar ability nationally, which placed the school in the top 25% of schools for progress in the country. All this indicated excellent 'value added' by the students, the school and the parents/carers working successfully together.
