Senior Prize Giving Evening.
This year saw the resumption of the Prize Giving Evening following a gap of 2 years due to Covid etc. Michael Stanton, Val Lea and Brenda Rafferty attended the evening and were very pleasantly surprised by the new format adopted for the occasion.
The evening had previously taken place in November with all the Year Group and their families invited. This year the ceremony was restricted to just the winners of the various prizes and their parents/carers etc. making it a much more intimate and meaningful gathering.
The venue was also changed from the main Hall to the Library (or the Gym as we old folk would know it) and took place on a very nice evening in May allowing all to gather outside after the presentation to mingle in a very relaxed atmosphere.
The photograph was taken this year by a professional photographer, Yvette Woodhouses and we subsequently found out that her Mother June Curry (nee Carver) had attended the school in 1951.
